Oprah Winfrey tells about the time she had a group of girlfriends stay over at her home in Maui, to celebrate her 58th birthday. While they were talking one evening, a few of them discovered they were all fans of a musician named Snatum Kaur.
Oprah told them she almost invited Snatum Kaur to perform for her birthday. She thought about it, and decided it was too much trouble. But if she’d known they liked her too, she would have made the effort.
Later that night, Oprah wondered why she would have gone to the trouble for her friends, but not for herself. She wished she had asked Snatum Kaur to sing.
The next evening at sunset, they were sipping cocktails on the porch. One of Oprah’s friends said to her, “You wanted it, and now you have manifested it.” The friend rang a small chime, music started to play, and Snatum Kaur appeared on Oprah’s porch. The night before, Oprah’s friends had reached out to the singer. By an amazing coincidence, Snatum Kaur was performing in another town only 30 minutes away. She and her musicians were honored to come and sing for the group.

What do you wish for? What do you let go of, thinking that you are not worth the effort?
